Bill Blackburn from the William Blackburn Consulting, Ltd. gave a talk on "Sustainability - What It Means and How Companies and Universites are Approaching It" on April 13th at the University of Illinois Business Instructional Facility. In the talk, the speaker first introduced what is the green business and then listed the top reasons for increased focus on sustainability by both companies and the academic institutes. The responses and trends of sustainability are also introduced. Through the talk, the students could have a better idea on the application of sustainability in the real business settings.  |

Illinois MBA Chapter is in its third year of being one of the official chapters of Net Impact Central. Students and members from the Illinois MBA are dedicated to involve in riding the trend of corporate social responsibility and the long-term sustainability of the business around the world. Through establishing the chapter, Illinois MBA students will be having more opportunities to become parts of the community that care about our environment while doing excellent jobs in business. The chapter is currently aiming to become a silver chapter in the year of 2010. |
